As the team busses pull away from their colleges on the way to the Big House Challenge, the scout teams look on in sadness. All those hours prepping the starters to go play, and they don't even let us come with them. We deserve some recognition too! And so the scout teams come up with a daring plan: rent a party bus, jump over the fence at the Big House after the fans clear out from the big game, and have their own tourney!
Come join us for an icebreaker event for the Big House Challenge, with this ALL-LINEMAN tourney! The only players that will be allowed on your roster are a team's 0-16 or 0-12 players (if they are 0-12, you can take 0-16 instead). Must have at least 11 players on a team, no stars allowed.
Tournament Schedule:
• 6:00 to 7:00 pm – Registration
• 7:00 to 8:45 – Round 1
• 9:00 to 10:15– Round 2
• 10:30 to 11:45– Round 3

Tournament Rules:
We will be using the following documents as the baseline Ruleset:
• Current “2nd Season” rules for Blood Bowl including Deathzone
• All Spike Magazines to and including the Gnomes and Chaos Dwarves
• The Current GW Official Errata & Designer’s Commentary (expected to be released November 2024)
• The teams of Legend Document for the High Elf and Tomb King Rosters
• The NAF Rules for Tournaments Document from January 2024 for the Slann Roster
Rules Clarifications:
• Special play cards will not be allowed
• Illegal procedure will not be in use
• Please keep up with the pace of play. At the request of either coach, at any time in the game, a 4 minute timer may be used and implemented on the game.
• Normal resurrection rules are in effect – no SPP recorded, injuries do not carry over between games
• If a new team or rules clarification is released within 30 days of the tourney, it will not be incorporated into these rules.
• Tourney will use the normal weather and kickoff tables. Each table will roll their own weather.
• Only GW or NAF dice will be allowed. You are required to share dice if your opponent requests.
Team Building Rules:
• You will be given 800,000 GP to build your roster
• Star Players, Mercenary Players and special play cards are not allowed. Any other inducement in the main rulebook, Deathzone, or any Spike Magazine is allowed (have a copy of the rules for anything uncommon you are bringing). NOTE: You must have a thematic model for any additional inducement you are bringing if that inducement is a being of some sort (any wizard, coach, biased ref, mascot...)
• After you have purchased your team, you may buy skills for your players based on the following tier system (Note – these Tiers may differ from the FAQ and the BB 2020 book):
o Tier 1 teams – 4 Skill Points to spend. No secondary skills may be taken, and no skill stacking is allowed. Amazon, Chaos Dwarf, Dark Elf, Dwarf, High Elf, Human, Norse, Orc, Shambling Undead, Skaven, Wood Elf.
o Tier 2 teams – 6skill points to spend. Only one secondary skill is allowed, and no skill stacking. Imperial Nobility, Khorne, Necromantic Horror, Nurgle, Old World Alliance, Slann, Tomb King, Vampire
o Tier 3 teams – 8 skill points to spend. Only two secondary skills are allowed, and no skill stacking . Black Orcs, Gnomes, Goblins, Halflings, Lizardmen, Snotlings, Ogres, Underworld.
• Primary skills may be purchased for 1 skill point, and secondary skills for 2 skill points. No stat increases or random skills. Maximum of four added skills of a single type (e.g., four guard), one added skill per player.
Scoring:
During each round, you will fill out a score sheet to track your progress. At the end of the match, you will add up the scoring as follows:
• A WIN is 60 points
• A DRAW is 30 points
• A LOSS is 10 points
• If you lose by 1 TD, you earn +2 bonus points
• If you cause 1 more CAS that would generate SPP than your opponent, you earn +2 bonus points
• If you caused 2 or more CAS that would generate SPP than your opponent, you earn +5 bonus points (does not stack with the +2)
• If you win by 2 Touchdowns you earn +2 bonus points
• If you win by 3 Touchdowns or more you earn +5 bonus points (does not stack with the +2)
• There is no championship game, the standings will solely be determined by total points. In the case of a tie, head to head results will be taken into account, including bonus points against that opponent, followed by strength of schedule (total points earned by all opponents), followed by a coin flip.
Awards:
In order to qualify for an award, you must compete all three rounds of play. Coaches will only be eligible for one award, and the TO will trickle-down an award to the next eligible player.
• Champion – most tourney points
• Runner-Up– second most tourney points
• Best Offense – most TDs scored
• Best Defense – fewest TDs scored against you
• Most Brutal – most casualties that would generate SPP
• Stunty Cup – most tourney points by a Tier 3 Team.
