At the Ice Cream Bowl, pairs of coaches compete in five rounds of Blood Bowl over two days. There’ll be prizes galore, there’ll be that slightly queasy feeling you have when you’ve over-indulged, and we promise we won’t bring back the janky kick off table from 2020!
Team Selection and building
https://www.cushtie.com/cushties-blood-bowl-tournaments/waaaghinton-ice-cream-bowl-2025/team-building/
Coaches enter in pairs. Each coach chooses a different team, and the total of the tiers associated with those two teams has to sum to at least four. So for example, if one chooses Shambling Undead (Tier 1) the other coach has to select a team in Tier 3 or higher.
Team Budgets
*BASE BUDGET*
Spend 1,150,000 on players, sideline staff, inducements and fans.
The only inducements permitted are:
Bloodweiser Kegs
Bribes
Wandering Apothecaries
Mortuary Assistant
Plague Doctor
Riotous Rookies
Biassed Referees
Halfling Master Chef
Mercenary Giants
Apart from Giants, no mercenaries and no star players are permitted.
Team budget cannot be shared between the coaches, so if your partner builds to 1,000,000 TV, that does *not* give you an extra 150,000 to spend.
*UPGRADES*
Depending on tier, teams have different budgets for primary and secondary skills (and stat increases), with different permissions around whether you can stack skills or not.
Teams who have access to stat increases are limited to a maximum of two increases per team. Players may only be given one upgrade each, unless stacking is permitted. If stacking is permitted, one player per team may be given a maximum of two upgrades.
Tiers:
1: Dark Elf, Shambling Undear, Underworld
