The Mafia are taking over Blood Bowl!
This one day, three game, swiss pairing resurrection tournament hosted in Tunbridge Wells will feature a list of 'Wiseguys' instead of star players. The Don insists you pay him for his families services so hiring a wiseguy is compulsory!
Tournament to be run through Tourplay. Gaming store and 3D printing sponsors to attend.

*Racketbowl*
This is Nick Nickson here, reporting for Cabalvision from Nuln in Tilea. Al “Taxi” Capone, the head of the notorious Valentina crime family has just announced ‘Racketbowl’ , a Blood Bowl tournament hosted in the capital city of Wissenland this coming December. Rumours are rife that the recently “resolved” feud with the Nulner Schatzenheimer gang has allowed them to explore new revenue streams for the family (There can’t be a feud if there’s no one left to feud with). The large crowds and blatant corruption made Blood Bowl an obvious avenue for the mobsters to muscle in on. The surprising part of the announcement was that they’ve found within their own ranks a number of Wiseguys with a talent for the game. I’m sure I’m not the only one who expected them to take perfectly well to the rough stuff, but apparently some of them even handle the ball!?
We are led to understand that no star players will be in attendance however. The rumour that Griff Oberwald woke to find a horse’s head in his bed are currently unsubstantiated and we have heard news that Glotl Stop is sleeping with the fishes.
A number of teams have already been blackmailed and signed up to feature in the event that could attract huge crowds to the region, the winning team may even gain “sponsorship” from the Valentina family, which could mean they never lose a game again.

The normal kick off table will be used, but if a number 12 is rolled the Gutterbowl variant is to be used. This is as follows:
Bloodweiser kegs will be purchased as normal through Tourplay, but on the day of the event all branded products will be intercepted by mobsters and kegs of Moonshine will be sold to teams participating. These work in the same manner described in the 2020 rulebook with these additional rules:
On the roll of a 1 when attempting to recover from being KO’d that player gains the Drunkard trait - This player suffers a -1 penalty to the dice roll when attempting to Rush
On the roll of a 6 when attempting to recover from being KO’d that player gains the Dauntless trait - When this player performs a Block action (on its own or as part of a Blitz action), if the nominated target has a higher strength characteristic than this player before counting offensive or defensive assists but after applying any other modifiers, roll a D6 and add this player's strength characteristic to the result. If the total is higher than the target's strength characteristic, this player increases their strength characteristic to be equal to that of the target of the Block action, before counting offensive or defensive assists, for the duration of this Block action. If this player has another Skill that allows them to perform more than one Block action, such as Frenzy, they must make a Dauntless roll before each separate Block action is performed.
