Halloween Costume Party in the Dungeon II Ruleset

Join us for our second Halloween Dungeon Bowl Tournament-get ready to dress up and roll some dice!

This game will follow the general rules and player stats from Blood Bowl 2025. Players that have changed in 2025, such as Big 'Un Blockers, Beastmen Linemen, Bloaters, etc., are considered to use their 2025 stats and costs. Actions like Secure the Ball, throwing a team mate and passing on the same turn, etc., are allowed. Team composition will still follow the Colleges of Magic from Dungeon Bowl 2021. Team Building

• Each team has a 1.2 million gold pieces draft budget to build their team
• Players must include 11 players in their roster before buying any inducements
• Only inducements included in the official dungeon bowl rulebook may be purchased
• Each team has 30 SPP to spend on skills:
  • Primary skills start at 6 SPP
  • Secondary skills start at 12 SPP
  • Skill stacking is permitted, but the price of additional skills will increase as described in the official rulebook
• Teams MAY NOT draft any Star Players

Game Format

• Each game will use predetermined Dungeon Bowl maps that will be provided at the tournament
• Each map will contain 6 portals and 6 chests:
  • 2 will contain bombs
  • 1 will contain a Chainsaw
  • 3 will contain balls
• Games will follow "best of three" scoring: the player who scores 2 Touchdowns wins, but the match will continue until either all 3 balls are scored or time runs out
• Time rules:
  • If after 1 hour not all balls have been discovered, the next chest to be opened will automatically contain a ball until all balls have been discovered; after this time all remaining chests will be considered to automatically contain bombs and will explode when opened
  • After 90 minutes: if both teams are tied the game will enter "sudden death" and the next player to score a Touchdown will win
  • After 2 hours: if both teams are still tied the game will be considered a draw; otherwise the player with the highest score wins

Tournament Scoring

Your tournament score will be a total of the following:

• 3 Points for a win
• 1 Point for a draw
• 0 Points for a defeat

Tie breakers will be decided by the number of Touchdowns, followed by number of casualties.

Prizes

Prizes will be awarded to:

• First place winner
• Runner up
• Most casualties
• Best costume
• Additional secret prizes to be revealed at the tournament

Special Rules

Halifax Chainsaw Massacre

One chest in every dungeon will contain a Chainsaw. Any player that opens that chest will automatically add the Chainsaw trait to their Skills. If that player is ever removed from play as a result of a Knock Out or Casualty the Chainsaw will be placed on the square they were in. Any player who moves onto a square with the Chainsaw on it immediately picks up the Chainsaw, adds the Chainsaw trait to their Skills and their activation immediately ends.

Nightmare on Gottingen Street

At the start of each game, each coach randomly selects one player from their roster without the Loner (x+) trait. That player gains the Claws skill and Drunkard trait for the rest of the game.

Costume Party

Every coach is invited and encouraged to wear a costume to this tournament! In addition to being able to play for free, the following themed costumes will give you special bonuses for when you are building your rosters:

Mercenary Player: If you dress up as a Blood Bowl player, you may hire a Mercenary Player of the same player type for free (for example, if you dress up as a Wardancer you get to add a free Wardancer Mercenary Player to your roster, regardless of whether that player would be allowed to play for your college). You cannot use this rule to hire more positionals than your college would allow (i.e., if you can only hire 4 Blockers and you wish to use this rule to hire an extra Big 'Un Blocker, you must only have 3 Blockers already on your roster) and you cannot use this rule to hire any players with the Big Guy keyword. Mercenary Players automatically have the Loner (4+) trait.

College Wizard: If you dress up as a Witch, Wizard, or some other magical person you can add a free College Wizard of your team's college to your roster.

Apothecary: If you dress up as Doctor, Nurse, or some other medical professional you can add an Apothecary to your roster. While there are no official rules for Apothecaries in Dungeon Bowl this Apothecary can be used once per game in the same way as the Apothecaries in Blood Bowl 2025.

Extra Team Training: If you dress up as a coach you can add a free Extra Team Training inducement to your roster.

Bribe: If you dress up as anything else that does not fall into any of the other costume categories, you may add a free Bribe inducement to your roster.
