À Vos Dés and its ZPL Blood Bowl league are pleased to announce, for the second year, the special Téléthon edition of its tournament: The ZPL Challenge, to be held on Saturday, November 28, 2026 in Palaiseau.
The idea is to offer a tournament whose entry fee will be paid in full (100%) to the Téléthon. (In 2025 you helped raise €250, which was entirely donated to the Téléthon.)
This is the eighth tournament organized by the ZPL League, after RRX Bowl I and II, ZPL Challenge I to IV, and last year's special Téléthon edition.
This individual one-day tournament is NAF (in progress) and CdF (confirmed, thanks ThoT).
For this second edition we remain in Palaiseau, in the hall used every Saturday by the association:
Accessible in a 15-minute walk from Palaiseau station or Palaiseau Villebon station (RER B).

For this edition, you will be able to eat in the many shops in the immediate vicinity (the hall is in the city center): bakeries, kebab shops, supermarket, and restaurants, there is something for every taste and every budget, or you can bring your own lunch.
Regarding the format, we stick with what made the previous edition fun and keep a mix of the Licorne and Bowl d'Armor formats!!! The goal is to let you take a breather between two Euro and World Cup tournaments...
To build your roster under the BB2020 ruleset (it will of course be 2025 (Season 3) this year), you will have 1,300,000 gold pieces, which is a lot but not too much. With this amount, you can:
Star Players will not be used; the team is based on a roster from which a Star Player will emerge that you create yourself!
Team players can be given additional skills: 1 primary skill at a cost of 20,000 gp (30,000 gp for an elite skill) or a secondary skill at a cost of 30,000 gp (40,000 gp for an elite skill, max 2 for the team, 4 for HALFLINGS, GNOMES, OGRES, SNOTLINGS AND GOBLINS).
Each player can only receive one skill.
Unlike the other players on the team, the vice-champion can receive two skills (2 primaries (40,000 gp +10,000 gp per elite skill) or one primary + one secondary (50,000 gp, +10,000 gp per elite skill) or 2 secondaries (60,000 gp +10,000 gp per elite skill) under the same conditions as described above (if you give it 2 secondaries, there are none left for the rest of the team (excluding Stunty) nor for the Star Player). You are absolutely not obliged to create a vice-champion.
You are required to create a Star Player, taken from the team creation budget. You select a position from your roster that will serve as the basis for creating your Star Player (field player, positional, or big guy, it's up to you, but you pay its cost...). This star can receive 4 options from the list below; each option can only be acquired once, except the primary skill.

The Star Player, before gaining options, starts with a 'Loner' skill at 4+ and if you select something other than a primary or secondary skill, the value of this Loner increases by 1 (the max score will therefore be 6+).

Ball & Chain (on a Stunty and only on Goblin (becomes Strength 7 and Movement 3) and Skink (becomes Strength 6 and Movement 4)) (Secret Weapon)
If a player ends up with two secret weapons... it will perform two tests and therefore has a high chance of being sent off...

The Star Player therefore has no special rule other than the team's. It can receive treatment from an Apothecary or the intervention of a Mortuary Assistant.
