The Apple Isle's Blood Bowl scene keeps going from strength to strength, and after the success of last year's inaugural event, Two Heads Mutant Bowl is back for round two - this time on the North West Coast!
In 2026 we're once again playing for those doing it tough: all proceeds from the event will be donated to the Cancer Council. Dust off your dice, polish up the spare head, and come play some Blood Bowl for a great cause!
Here's where your $30 entry fee goes:
100% of raffle proceeds and all direct donations go to the Cancer Council.
This year's event will be played using Blood Bowl Third Season Edition (BB2025) - the official rulebook together with the latest official Errata and Designer's Commentary (FAQ).
The Stalling rule (BB2025 rulebook, p.80) will be in effect, as per NAF tournament defaults.
The NAF's Recommendations and Clarifications for BB2025 will also be in effect at this event.
This is a NAF-approved tournament - games count towards your NAF ranking. New Coaches can register and existing Coaches can renew their membership on the day, with all registrations receiving this year's NAF gift.
This will be a Resurrection Tournament. Coaches will submit a Team Roster prior to the day. Each match is played with a shiny new version of the team!
Round 1 pairings will be randomly determined. Rounds two and three will use the Swiss Pairings system. This will ensure that Coaches will play against others who have a similar win-draw-loss record on the day.
The Tournament Organiser, Samuel Butler, will act as the "Odd Man In" to ensure even numbers every round. This will allow everyone to get a game every round.
Matches will be allocated a total of 2hrs 20mins. At the conclusion of this time, the game will end with no provision to finish the Turn or for Coaches to have completed an equal number of Turns. It is encouraged for Matches to have entered the second half with an hour remaining.
In the event of a tie, the following tie-breakers will be utilised to determine the winner:
Roster Submission: Rosters need to be submitted by NLT 1159h 08/11/26 to samuelbutler87@gmail.com
Coaches are encouraged to contact the TO prior to the submission date if they have any roster questions. Coaches failing to submit their roster on time will gift their first opponent either a free bribe or re-roll.
Teams: Coaches may choose any of the 30 official teams from the Blood Bowl Third Season Edition Official Rulebook, as updated by the latest official Errata and Designer's Commentary (FAQ) - both available from the Warhammer Community downloads page. Yes, that includes the new Bretonnians!
In addition, Slann are permitted, using the updated BB2025 Slann roster published in the NAF Regulations for Tournaments 2026.
In essence, if you utilise the following roster building tool then you'll be safe! https://bbroster.com
Night Goblins: Word from the caves is that a certain squig-loving team may be arriving in an upcoming Spike! Journal. To keep the playing field settled, Night Goblins will NOT be permitted at this event - even if their rules are officially released before the tournament (sorry, sneaky gitz!). They will be considered for future events.
Inducements: Any Inducements found in The Official Rules may be purchased with your budget. Coaches wishing to purchase Inducements found in companion publications should first approach the TO prior to the roster submission date in order to discuss these on a case by case basis.
Star Players: With everyone getting to grips with the new edition, the decision has been made to keep the rules pack simple by once again banning Star Players (sorry Stunties!). This decision will be reviewed in subsequent years depending on Coach feedback.
Team Value: Teams will have 1,100,000 Gold Pieces available to them at Roster Creation. Any Gold Pieces not utilised will be forfeited. All Teams must be drafted with a minimum of 11 Players.
In the interests of leveling the playing field, Teams are organised into the four official Tiers from the BB2025 Tier List, as published in the latest Blood Bowl Designers' Commentary on the Warhammer Community downloads page. These Tiers influence each Team's Skills Package. Skills are applied in addition to the Teams budget and will not cost any further Gold Pieces.
The Tier List current as at the roster submission deadline (1159h 08/11/26) will apply. Any Tier changes published by Games Workshop after that date will not be used at this event.
Slann do not appear in the official Tier List and will be treated as Tier 3 at this event.
We're not sure if it's in the water, or if South Australians have just learnt how to swim, but for some reason, some folk down here do just seem a little bit… strange. Blood Bowl Players are by no means exempt from this observation. In fact, it's almost as if every team has at least one player who stands out as being a bit 'odd'. Whether it's because they seem a little bit slow on the uptake and have never progressed past the rudimentary basics of their position on the team, maybe it's their uncanny resemblance to half the town, or perhaps even the third arm they happen to be sporting - who knows!
In addition to the above Skills Package, every Team may gift a single player one free Mutation skill. This player may not be provided with any other skills.
Coaches will be provided with a score sheet for each round. This is to be completed throughout the course of the Match and will be utilised to determine final placings and prizes.
For the purposes of recording, Casualties caused by your successful Blocks/Blitzes, Fouls, Crowd Surfs or your opponent's unsuccessful Blocks/Blitzes will count. Casualties that are self-inflicted, such as failed Dodge or Rush rolls, will not.
Prizes will be given for the following:
