Swiss system, 3 rounds. Each player will play three matches; after each match, players face a different opponent. In the first round, players will be paired randomly or against a challenged opponent. After that, in each round the players in 1st and 2nd place (based on points) will play against each other, 3rd against 4th, and so on successively. The only exception is that you can never play against the same player twice; if this occurs, an organizer must be notified to arrange things so these players can face others of similar standing. Matches will last a maximum of 2 hours, and the 4-minutes-per-turn rule or 1 hour per player rule may be applied (if agreed between players). Once the time has elapsed, the organizers may stop the match with the current result in order to proceed to the next round.
Delays:
Tournament Points: The amount of points will determine the champion. Teams will be ranked using these factors:
Tiebreakers:
The goal is to have fun, compete with good sportsmanship, and enjoy a day among friends.
Arranging results or artificial draws is strictly prohibited.
THE USE OF TOURNAMENT DICE IS MANDATORY.
Likewise, the block dice used in the tournament must unambiguously and clearly represent the results of the faces, respecting the official game symbols.
The referee figure is usually not necessary, but sometimes there is no choice but to resort to them. They will signal the end of matches and resolve doubts and disputes, their decisions being final.
In case of doubt, the rulebook will be consulted, and if the rules do not cover a particular aspect, and the referees cannot give an answer, the situation will be decided by rolling a die (odd or even) to see who is right.
The maximum match duration will be 2 hours, with the organization able to give extra time if deemed appropriate.
It is the players' responsibility to remember and keep track of the following situations:
Whenever possible, the game will return to the situation or point where the roll was forgotten or the mistake was made within the same turn; however, if the situation is detected after a touchdown is scored and players are picked up, the score will stand as valid in all respects.
The use of a stopwatch for 4-minute turns will be legal if both players agree or the referees deem it appropriate for the good performance of the match and tournament.
No unsportsmanlike behavior, cheating, or disrespect will be tolerated. The referees/organization reserve the right to expel any player they consider to be disrupting the good atmosphere of the tournament, barring them from future editions.
