Be it this year's unusual weather, the players being hung over after drinking copious amounts of Bugman's XXXXX, or just that few like playing in a dank dwarven hold, everyone entering Grudgebowl is more tetchy than usual and very likely to take it out on someone else!
Whenever a player on a team suffers a CAS as the result of a Block, that player automatically gains the Hatred (x) rule for the rest of the tournament. Even if they are subsequently saved by an Apothecary! Coaches should mark which players are affected by this and players are expected to check with each other by the end of a game.
With such animosity flowing around the games, it only makes sense that the spirits of the dwarven gods of vengeance are watching. Sometimes, they want to join in too!
In any game where one team has suffered three or more CAS's (not including those negated by an Apothecary), the rage building from its players has attracted the eye of Grimnir. A player on your team begins to feel the spirit of the ancestors possessing them!
During the start of the next drive, a player that is available to play is taken over by ancestor spirit. Randomly select a player on your team on the pitch, after Set Up, but before the Kick-Off. That player replaces their stats and any skills with one of the following, determined by rolling a D6:
Mark the possessed player or replace them with an appropriate model. If that player is Knocked out, CAS'd or leaves the pitch via Arguing the Call, the spirit leaves them. The player returns to normal for the rest of the game. The cloud of anger surrounding the team momentarily dissipates and the spirits may not be summoned for that team for the rest of the game.
Tournament Points will be allocated as follows:
Any awards given will follow the Highlander rule, with the exception of someone who is eligible for the Stunty Cup. If players are eligible, they will be given the choice by TOs before accepting.
The venue is accessible via stairs which lead to a ground floor and then stairs which lead to the second floor. There is a stair lift to the second floor and an accessible entrance to the venue.
There are toilets on the ground floor, with a separate disabled loo.
