Refunds for players dropping from the event will be offered up until the week prior, after which we'll have committed to venue and event costs.
First, Second, and Third places will be awarded, as will Best Presented and Favourite Opponent, and additional "honours" will be up for grabs (e.g. most casualties, most fouls, etc.) with additional prizing based on attendance.
Swag and prizing sourced from The Game Gremlin, check out their online store: https://www.gamegremlin.com.au/
and from General Games, check out their online store: https://www.generalgames.com.au/
The event will follow a four-round structure, with Swiss pairings determined by Tourplay. Rounds will be 2 hours and 15 minutes long (1 hour and 5 minutes per coach, with 5 minutes of runover time), with 15 and 30 minute breaks for food and bevs.
The weather table in use will be the Spring weather table for the duration of the event.
Pairings will be Swiss, and on the day pairings and results reporting will be handled by the local Iron Grid software.
Rosters are to be submitted to Tourplay by 11:59pm on the 30th September. They'll then be made public.
Rosters are to be constructed according to the Big V 2026 rules (available here, and set up on Tourplay).
Big V 2026 Team Building Rules: https://www.bigvbloodbowl.com/roster-rules
Prone/Stunned Players: On indicating prone/stunned players, if both players agree prior to a game to use markers instead of laying models down, then they're welcome to, however the default expectation is that players should be placed prone on the pitch to indicate status, as per usual for Blood Bowl (big guys/models which don't lay flat may of course need tokens to replace them, or assist with indicating stunned/prone status).
Chess Clocks: Rounds are set to a specific time, and are planned to run on a schedule to allow everyone attending to have a fair go at their games, and to give everyone time to have a break and eat lunch in between rounds. The default assumption is that every game is played with an even amount of time for each coach to make their decisions - by default this means chess clocks will be in use, unless both players agree to opt out of using one (and we do highly encourage their use, out of respect for the time of the other coaches at the event).
Should a coach's clock run out, that coach may no longer take any voluntary actions or rolls in game (i.e. may not activate players, may only make decisions to use skills when necessary, and take automatic rolls such as armour).
