The Asterisk
BCBBL proudly presents "The Asterisk". A tournament where performance enhancing isn't just allowed, it's enforced.
This is a two-day tournament held at the Saskatoon Sports Centre. $5 from every entry fee goes to Make-A-Wish Canada as a donation, and raffle prizes will be offered which will also raise funds for MAWC.

Prizes
The Grand Prize in this event is The Golden Ticket, given to the winner of the tournament. The Golden Ticket is paid entry to five two-day tournaments in the Great Plains Grand Prix circuit for the years of 2027-2028, as well as Canada's major tournament in 2027.

Tournament Rules
Performance Enhancement
Before each game, each coach will randomly roll one time, choosing a player on their team. The player chosen gets the following benefit:
- A non-stunty player receives +1 Strength and the Sprint skill for the game.
- A stunty player receives +2 Strength and the Sprint skill for the game.
- A player already with the Sprint skill will only gain the ST bonus.
- Star Players may not gain this benefit, and if rolled, must be re-rolled.
Team Building: Tier System
Teams will be separated into Tiers. Each has its own starting Gold budget and allotment of SPP points. Tiers are broken down as follows:
- Tier 1 (Gold Budget: 1,100,000 // 12 SPP): Dark Elves / High Elves / Lizardmen / Old World Alliance / Orcs / Skaven / Wood Elves
- Tier 2 (Gold Budget: 1,125,000 // 16 SPP): Amazon / Elven Union / Humans / Norse / Shambling Undead / Underworld Denizens
- Tier 3 (Gold Budget: 1,150,000 // 20 SPP): Bretonnian / Chaos Dwarf / Imperial Nobility / Necromantic Horror / Nurgle / Slann
- Tier 4 (Gold Budget: 1,175,000 // 24 SPP): Black Orc / Chaos Chosen / Chaos Renegades / Dwarf / Khorne / Tomb Kings / Vampires
- Tier 5 (Gold Budget: 1,200,000 // 28 SPP): Gnome / Goblins / Halfling / Night Goblins / Ogre / Snotlings
Skill Point Costs
SPP's may be added using the following costs:
- Normal Skill - 3 SPP
- Secondary Skill - 6 SPP
- Elite Skill - +1 to SPP cost (4 per Normal Elite, 7 per Secondary Elite)
- Stacking - +1 SPP per stack (Limit of one stack)
- No cap on Elite skills per team
Star Player Costs
Star Players may be added by paying their allotted costs, plus an additional tax of SPP based on their Gold purchase cost, as follows:
- 0-100k: Cost + 4 SPP's
- 101-150k: Cost + 8 SPP's
- 151-200k: Cost + 12 SPP's
- 201-250k: Cost + 16 SPP's
- 251k+: Cost + 20 SPP's
Skill Pack Options
Each Tier may alter their starting SPP and Gold Budget using the following options for Skill Packs:
- -3 Starting SPP's: +30k Gold Budget
- +3 Starting SPP's: -30k Gold Budget
