Surf Bowl is a one-day, three-match resurrection style tournament (July 24th 2027). This means all players return to their starting status after each game regardless of any events which may have occurred in a preceding match.
The first matchups between coaches will be drawn randomly, with the remainder based on the Swiss tournament format.
Final standings will be ranked using a system of tiebreakers in the following order:
As has now become tradition for participants of Surf Bowl, we encourage you to join the brave few who have the courage to have an early morning swim in the North Sea. Due to popular demand, to reward and recognise those folks willing to brave the currents, this year anyone who attends will receive a free bribe for game 1. If you have already taken bribes this will be in addition to the ones taken up to a maximum of 4 (7 for bribery and corruption).
Each team will have 1,150 gold to build your team as per the rules from the Blood Bowl rule book and NAF documents.
A team must have a minimum of 11 rostered players (before counting stars).

For example, "Matt takes a Chaos Renegade team and decides to puts Block on his Dark Elf, but he wants to make it a dirty horrible Dark Elf, so he also gives it Two Heads. Both skills are primary Skills so cost 6 SPP each. But as he's stacking it costs an additional 2 SPP. Making the total cost 14 SPP. Matt would like to make the Dark Elf even dirtier but alas, he can only have a maximum of two additional skills."
Up to 2 Star Players may be purchased at their normal TV, but they also require a payment of 25 SPP each. The following Star Players are banned from Surf Bowl:
The above list is not exhaustive and the TO retains the right to change these details based on new data and releases.
Please note that if any Games Workshop releases happen before the event in July 2027, the TO will review the release before it is included in the event. However, you can assume that unless otherwise stated they will be included as long as they conform with the NAF tournament guidelines and the full release is over two weeks before the date of the event. If it is within two weeks they will not be allowed.

Stunty Cup is open to: Goblins, Halflings, Ogres, Snotlings, as well as Black Orcs (No Black Orcs), Lizards (no Saurus), Underworld (No Skaven).
Best Hawaiian Shirt Competition - Voted for by the venue, the best Hawaiian shirt will receive a prize.
Chess Clock - If your opponent wishes to use a chess clock then you must adhere to the following rules:
Late Arrivals - Should you arrive for your match later than 10 minutes, a chess clock will be provided and your time will be running. This is so your opponent is not penalised due to your lateness.

This tournament is open only to members of the NAF. You can sign up online or through your local NAF representative. Joining the NAF only costs £5 and you will be given a welcome gift for signing up. All games will be NAF ranked.
