Roster submission deadline: 10.08.2026 (registrations close after this date)
Captain selection: Two captains will be chosen by Nuffle from among all participating players.
Draft process: The two captains play odds and evens. The winner chooses a player from the tournament, then the other captain chooses a player, and so on until all tournament players are assigned to one of the two teams. (This mimics the traditional playground method of picking teammates for football.)
Once all players are assigned, each captain receives cards showing the names and races of their players.
Round pairing: In each round, the captain who won the previous round deploys X player cards face-up. The opposing captain does the same with X cards. The captains pair them off one-by-one. A video tutorial will be released in a few weeks.
Theme: The tournament simulates a fantasy-historical confrontation between Dark Elves and High Elves, commanded by the Dark King and the Phoenix King (the two captains).
All players receive a secret card (hidden from the other captain).
Levy card (Infantry): Standard card for regular play.
Squire card: When a captain wants to swap a matchup, the Squire sacrifices themselves to stand in for their king (Phoenix King or Dark King) and plays against the opponent's designated player instead.
Counselor card: During matchmaking, the only person allowed to stand with their king and advise on pairings.
Assassin card: At the start of each round, this player may choose any opposing player to face (except the king). This matchup cannot be changed.
Event cards: Reserved by the tournament organizer.
Special cards cannot be duplicated-they must rotate among team members.
Captain note: Please arrive a little early. Thank you.
The system may seem complicated, but it is straightforward.
