BCG Presents 'The Draft' 2027

Schedule

• 0930 - Registration
• 1000 to 1215 - Game 1
• 1215 to 1230 - 1st Draft
• 1230 to 1315 - Lunch
• 1315 to 1530 - Game 2
• 1530 to 1545 - 2nd Draft
• 1545 to 1800 - Game 3
• 1800 - Prizes

3 games of Blood Bowl action. 2 hours 15 minutes per game. Slow coaches will be put on a clock if required. The Android App 'BB Coach Assistant' has a suitable clock.

Team Building and Skills

Teams for 'The Draft' have a budget detailed below for each tier. Teams must be fully painted and based.

Tier 1 - 1100k: Amazons, Dark Elves, High Elves, Lizards, Necromantic Horror, Norse, Orcs, OWA, Shambling Undead, Underworld Denizens, Wood Elves

• 6 skill points (of which 3 can be elite)
• 0 players may have stacked skills
• 1 Star Player
• 1sp for +20gp (Max 20)

Tier 2 - 1130k: Dwarves, Imperial Nobility, Human, Nurgle, Skaven, Vampires, Tomb Kings

• 7sp, max 7 primary, 2 secondary (of which 4 can be elite)
• 1 player may have stacked primary skills
• 1 Star Player
• 1sp for +20gp (Max 20)

Tier 3 - 1130k: Black Orcs, Bretonnians, Chaos Chosen, Chaos Renegades, Chaos Dwarves, Elven Union, Khorne

• 8sp, max 8 primary, 3 secondary (of which 4 can be elite)
• 1 player may have stacked primary skills
• 1 Star Player
• 1sp for +20gp (Max 40)

Tier 4 - 1100k: Snotlings*, Goblins*, Gnomes*, Ogres*, Halflings*

• 10 sp, max 10 primary, 3 secondary (of which 4 can be elite)
• 1 player may have stacked primary skills
• 2 Star Players
• 1sp for +20gp (Max 40)
• 1 Stat increase for 3sp (no stacking)

Teams must have 11 players before selecting any stars.

'The Draft' Special Stars

Bruce the Squig Sprout (can only be selected during the draft) (Blitzer, Squig)

• Skills: Horns, Leap, Jump Up, Loner (3+), Monstrous Mouth, Bounding Leap

Bruce the Triffid Sprout (can only be selected during the draft) (Blocker, Squig)

• M4 S4 AG3+ PA4+ AV9+
• Skills: Tentacles, Prehensile Tail, Extra Arms, Horns, Monstrous Mouth, Sprint, Take Root, Loner (4+)
• Special Rule - Probing Roots: If they take root, they may still move half their MV characteristic as part of their activation but may not rush.

Tuern Redvenom (Lineman, Elf) - coming out of retirement especially for this weekend

• M7 S3 AG2+ PA3+ AV9+
• Skills: Dirty Player, Disturbing Presence, Loner (4+), Tackle, Wrestle
• Special Rule - Sneaky Elf: Once per game if Tuern is sent off for fouling, he goes off and has a 'discussion' with the referee. He is then placed in the reserves box for the following drive, after which treat the next argue the call as a plus 1, as the referee is worried about having another 'discussion'. This means you can't roll a 1, but Tuern does leave the pitch and end the drive.

The Draft

A selection of Star Players will be available to draft before match two and three. The lowest place team will select a Star; this continues in order until the top player picks their Star. Two of the same stars (or even 3) are allowed - they're clearly imposters and will be found out on the pitch. Once your game has finished, the drafted stars go back into the pool, and the same process is followed for match three.

Event Special Rules

Players who play at 'The Draft' are being sponsored by Bruce's Best Beer. Every team will start with a single Bruce's Best Keg for their team. Treat as a Blitzer's Best Keg for the duration of this event.

Prayers to Nuffle

While Prayers to Nuffle can't be taken as inducements, before each round I will be rolling to see what prayer will be applied for all teams. More fun for the event!

Scoring

• 20 points for a win
• 10 points for a draw
• 2 points for a perfect defence (No TDs conceded)
• 1 point for each TD and CAS scored (up to 3 max)
• Max score of 28 points per round

Players cannot win more than one prize marked with a *. There will be a number of prizes available on the day for those that get Awards, along with in-game event prizes. Everyone will receive a participation prize as long as they signed up 1 month before the event start date.

Battle City Games is located in North End. There are a number of places to get food a few minutes walk from the shop.
