Due to space limitations, this event is limited to 20 participants.
You are given 1,150,000 gold pieces to build your team. You may purchase players, rerolls, fan factor, coaches, and cheerleaders as normal with this money. Each coach must purchase a minimum of 11 players that can include a star or mega-star player.
Highlander Rule: You CANNOT have the same Star Player as your opponent. If both of you attempt to field the same player, then that star player has swindled you both. Neither of you can field them.
Inducements allowed: Bribes, Chef, Orktoberfest Kegs, BYOB, Star Players, Team Mascots, and Riotous Rookies
Teams will receive Skill Points and can assign Primary (1pt) and Secondary (2pts) skills. Any player may only have 1 additional skill. Only four (4) of a particular Elite Skill (i.e., Block, Dodge, Guard, Mighty Blow) may be added to a roster.
Tier 1 (5 skill points): Amazon, Bretonnian, Chaos Dwarf, Dark Elf, High Elf, Human, Lizardmen, Necromantic, Norse, Nurgle, Old World Alliance, Orc, Skaven, Slann, Undead, Underworld, Vampire, and Wood Elf
Tier 2 (7 skill points, +1 Free Orktoberfest Keg - OR - BYOB): Black Orc, Chaos, Chaos Renegades, Dwarf, Elven Union, Imperial Nobility, Khorne, Tomb Kings
Tier 3 (9 skill points, +2 Free Orktoberfest Kegs - OR - BYOB): Gnome, Goblin, Halfling, Ogre, and Snotling
Star players may be purchased using not only the provided gold but also at the expense of a team's skills. Mega-stars cost 4 skill points while other stars cost 2 skill points. Duo stars will not have an additional tax for the second star beyond the original skill tax, though many are listed as Mega-stars. You may hire a maximum of 1 star player.
Mega-stars: Bomber Dribblesnot, Cindy Piewhistle, Grak & Crumbleberry, Dribl & Drull, Estelle La Veneaux, Griff Oberwald, Hakflem Skuttlespike, H'thark the Unstoppable, Ivan Deathshroud, Jeremiah Kool, Jordell Freshbreeze, Morg 'n' Thorg, Skorg Snowpelt.
All beer served at the Orktoberfest tournament is a special Orktoberfest brew. This is a particularly potent beer loved by Orcs, appreciated by Dwarves for its unlikely craftsmanship, and enjoyed by players and spectators everywhere. Some teams are wary of the strong brew and will attempt to bring their own beers to the festivities, but the organizers are pretty strict about their traditions, so anyone caught with other booze is taught a lesson in Orc Beer Purity Law (Orkheitsgebot), which basically means they get punched in the junk.
NOTE: Norse Beer Boars are considered to have Orktoberfest unless the BYOB inducement has been purchased. Any character affected by Pick-Me-Up also receives the drunkard trait for the remainder of the drive.
Orktoberfest Keg (50k GP) - Orktoberfest kegs act as normal kegs, with the following exception: Any player recovered receives the Drunkard trait for the drive. Players must roll 1D6. On a 2+ they recover as normal. On a 1, the player gains Frenzy for the drive. In this instance, Frenzy replaces Grab if the player has it.
BYOB Keg (50k) - BYOB Kegs act as normal Kegs with the following exception: Before a coach makes rolls for KO'd players, roll 1D6. On a 2+ the recovery rolls are made as normal. On a 1, a random KO'd player is returned to the KO box without making a recovery roll. Any BYOB kegs are then replaced with Orktoberfest kegs.
During each round, you will fill out a score sheet to track your progress. At the end of the match, you will add up the scoring as follows:
A WIN is 60 points
A DRAW is 30 points
A LOSS is 10 points
If you cause 1 more CAS than your opponent, you earn +2 bonus points
If you caused 2 or more CAS than your opponent, you earn +5 bonus points (does not stack with the +2)
If you lose by 1 TD, you earn +2 bonus points
If you win by 2 Touchdowns you earn +5 bonus points
If you win by 3 Touchdowns or more you earn +10 bonus points (does not stack with the +5)
There is no championship game; the standings will solely be determined by total points. In the case of a tie, head to head results will be taken into account, including bonus points against that opponent, followed by strength of schedule (total points earned by all opponents), followed by a coin flip.
All Casualties will count regardless of the cause!!!
Tournament Organizer will break any ties.
