As in previous editions, the tournament will take place at R'Atelier, at the following address:
25 rue Boscary 13004 Marseille Close to the La Blancarde train and metro station
The entry fee this year will be €50 per person. This fee includes:
Saturday:
Sunday:
Note: if a round can be started earlier, it will be. There can also be relative flexibility on timing during the first 4 rounds. However, there will be no question of falling behind schedule for the last round: it starts on time and ends on time. At the end of the round's time, dice and miniatures are set down and the match sheet is collected regardless of whether the game is finished or not. It is strongly recommended for those worried about running out of time to use a timer of 1 hour and 4 minutes per player (some turns may be longer than others); if your timer reaches zero, you may only pick up your miniatures and do nothing else for the rest of the match.
We are using for this tournament the World Cup 2027 (Malta) ruleset with some modifications. Refer to the table of the different tiers of the World Cup.
Air Force One: This is the Snotling roster in which you can only take players with a Strength characteristic of 1, whether they are players available in the "classic composition" or Star Players; you obviously cannot hire Dolfar Longstride (Néné Millevies). When you choose this roster, ignore the Insignificant skill. (More details on these tiers on the tournament's web page)
Each race has a specific budget that you can use to buy your players, rerolls, apothecary, assistant coaches, fans, cheerleaders, and bonuses (described below). It also has an SPP reserve to add skills to its players. Any unspent treasury or SPP is lost.
You can add additional skills according to the number of SPP given to your tier. Random skills and characteristic increases are strictly forbidden.
Among the bonuses you can buy, you have:
Star Players: For tiers that allow it, you may hire one and only one Star Player. You must already have at least 11 players before hiring one, and the following Star Players are not allowed: H'thark the Unstoppable, Lord Borak the Despoiler, Morg N Thorg, Deeproot Strongbranch, Hakflem Skuttlespike, Skitter Stab-Stab, Ripper Bolgrot, Cindy Piewhistle, Griff Oberwald, Ivar Eriksson, Jordell Freshbreeze, Maple Highgrove, Skrorg Snowpelt, Grak and Crumbleberry, Varag Ghoul-Chewer.
Star Player Tax: If you hire a Star Player, you must deduct an amount of SPP from your initial allocation according to the Star's cost.
Also, if you take a Star Player with the "Secret Weapon" trait, you can only have 2 bribes maximum. Exception: Akhorne costs no additional SPP cost; if you take him, you have nothing to deduct. Dolfar Longstride (Néné Millevies) also costs no SPP; he counts more as a mercenary than as a Star Player.
As you may have noticed, a new box compared to the original table has appeared ;). These are the "absurd tiers," composed of the following races:
*Air Force One Roster: This is the Snotling roster in which you can only take players with a Strength characteristic of 1, whether they are players available in the "classic composition" or Star Players; you obviously cannot hire Dolfar Longstride (Néné Millevies). When you choose this roster, ignore the Insignificant skill.
In addition to the budget and SPP allocated to them, the absurd tiers benefit from the "Status Addition" rule!
Status Addition: You can add statuses to some of your players for a certain additional cost per player. Players who can gain a status must have the Stunty skill, and Star Players and Dolfar Longstride (Néné Millevies) can in no case benefit from this. Players who receive a status can subsequently receive additional skills. A player can only receive one status, and there are 2 different statuses.
Every roster, whether or not they are allowed to take Star Players, can hire Dolfar Longstride (Néné Millevies) for 100,000 GP. As with a Star Player, you must have 11 players before hiring Dolfar Longstride. (see FBB forum)
If both players have the same Star Player, he plays for neither of them; however, if both players have Dolfar Longstride, he plays for both.
Each win earns 1000 points, each draw 400 points, and a loss 0 points. Additionally for the tiebreak, each Touchdown scored earns 3 points, each casualty caused by a block 2 points, each foul resulting in a casualty 2 points, and each ejection (excluding secret weapon or kick-off event) 1 point.
So as in previous editions, there is no refreshment stand set up by the organization; however, a fridge is made available and you can put whatever you want in it and use it whenever you wish, and two convenience stores are located right next to R'Atelier for those who want to stock up. Note: a bit of discipline please, gentlemen - last year some people apparently took things from the fridge without even asking permission from the "owners" of the drinks. Stealing is bad! Please behave appropriately regarding other people's belongings.
The game between rounds "Qui veut gagner des coups de pouce?" will of course be back with some adjustments (more details on the France BloodBowl web page).
Also regarding the prizes and awards, there are handmade prizes and miniatures painted by myself for the podium.
