Skull Tournament XXVI

Skull Tournament 26 is a Blood Bowl 7s resurrection-style tournament. After each match, the team returns as it was before playing, with no permanent injuries and no experience.

We will play 4 matches.

Due to the release of Spike! 22 with specific rules for Sevens, the ruleset has changed and is now based on the official BB2025 ruleset, Spike! Magazine, in particular issue 22, and the latest Designer's Commentary (dated 20 May 2026) plus the latest edition of the Slann team and the latest NAF recommendation on rules, available on the NAF website.

The tournament is the sixth stage of the second season of the Tileana Cup of Blood Bowl 7s, the circuit that brings together the main BB7s tournaments of Northern Italy.

The appointment is for Sunday 29 November 2026 at 09:30 at WipeOut Pub'n'Games, via Castelletto 45, Paderno Dugnano (MI).

Rules

The rules for Sevens from Spike! 22 replace all previously published tournament rule documents.

Team Creation

Squad Budget: coaches have 600,000 gold pieces available to compose their team.

Recruit Players: each team must consist of at least 7 players and a maximum of 11 players.

Player Positions: each team can have a maximum of 4 players without the Lineman keyword. Regardless of this, the numerical limitations of the Positions present in the rosters remain in force.

Insignificant: the Insignificant special rule does not apply.

Staff, Rerolls and Incentives

Assistant Coaches, Cheerleaders, Apothecaries and Rerolls are purchasable by each team at this price:

• 0-3 Assistant Coaches: 20,000 gold pieces
• 0-3 Cheerleaders: 20,000 gold pieces
• 0-1 Apothecary: 80,000 gold pieces
• 0-6 Rerolls: 100,000 gold pieces
• 0-5 Fans: 20,000 gold pieces

Incentives

Tournament Incentives are not assigned based on Team Rating and Petty Cash, which in the tournament are 600 and 0 for everyone. Incentives are purchased with the squad budget like Staff. Available Incentives are only the following:

• 0-2 Blitzers Best Kegs - 50,000 gold pieces each
• 0-2 Bribes - 100,000 gold pieces each (50,000 gold pieces for teams with the 'Bribery and Corruption' rule)
• 0-1 Traveling Apothecary - 100,000 gold pieces (not available for teams without access to an Apothecary)
• 0-1 Funeral Assistant - 100,000 gold pieces (available only for teams with the 'Masters of Undeath' rule)
• 0-1 Plague Doctor - 100,000 gold pieces (available only for teams with Nurgle's Favored rule)
• 0-1 Halfling Cook - 300,000 gold pieces (100,000 gold pieces for Halfling teams)

Tiers and Skills

Skull Tournament 2026 will be played with the Balanced Game rules from Spike! 22, but with Tiers defined autonomously.

Teams receive a number of skill points depending on their Tier membership. Regardless of their Tier membership, they can spend their Skill points in this way:

• Purchasing a Primary skill costs 1 Skill Point. There is no limit to the number of Primary skills purchasable.
• Purchasing a Secondary skill costs 2 Skill Points. It is not possible to purchase more than one Secondary skill for a team.
• Each player can receive only one additional skill.
• There is no limit to the number of times a skill can be assigned to players.
• It is possible to assign a maximum of 2 Elite skills to players on your team.
• There are no further constraints, for tournaments, on the purchase of Pro and Leader skills.

Tiers:

• Tier 1 - Old World Alliance, Amazons, High Elves, Wood Elves, Dark Elves, Orcs, Skaven, Humans, Underworld, Elven Union
• Tier 2 - Bretonia, Lizardmen, Necromantic, Imperial Nobility, Norse, Chosen of Chaos, Vampires
• Tier 3 - Khorne, Dwarves, Chaos Dwarves, Undead, Nurgle, Black Orcs, Chaos Renegades, Slann, Tomb Kings
• Tier 4 - Gnomes, Goblins, Halflings, Ogres, Snotlings

Tileana Cup 2026

The tournament is the sixth stage of the second season of the Tileana Cup of Blood Bowl 7s, the circuit that brings together the main BB7s tournaments of Northern Italy and is inspired by the legendary Tileanan cities of the Warhammer world. This stage is also this year set on the Island of Remas.

Schedule

• 09:30-09:45: Registration
• 10:00-11:10: Round 1
• 11:20-12:30: Round 2
• 12:40-13:20: Lunch Break
• 13:30-14:40: Round 3
• 14:50-16:00: Round 4
• 16:15: Awards and farewell

Pairings

The tournament is "Swiss-style", pairing the best-ranked teams together. The first round will be drawn randomly, avoiding matching members of the same play group where possible.

Standings

Standings points are assigned as follows:

• Win: 300 points
• Draw: 100 points
• Loss: 0 points
• 3 points for each Touchdown scored
• 2 points for each CAS inflicted (not Injury caused, only CAS)

In case of further ties, the tiebreakers are, in order:

• The standings of opponents faced, Touchdowns for, CAS for, Touchdown difference, CAS difference.

The tournament cost is 10 Euro per participant, and it is possible to pay via Paypal to @MassimoVaccari. Paying in advance is preferred (the sooner you confirm your registration, the more prizes we can organize) but it is possible to pay on site in cash.
