The tournament will be held on Saturday, June 19th. The venue will be "El Centro Social" in Cocentaina, which offers a great playing space and good access with nearby parking areas.
Squads will be made up of 2 coaches, and one of them must take on the role of "Captain" to facilitate communication between the organization and the team.
For this edition of the Cocentaina Cup, the BBTournaments app will be used to better manage the tournament.
PUNCTUALITY IS REQUESTED TO KEEP TO THE PLANNED SCHEDULE.
To speed up the tournament, the first round will be drawn in advance by the organization, so on Saturday participants will only need to confirm attendance and go to their assigned table to play the match.
Each table will have a corresponding match sheet to record the results of the match just played. Once filled in after each round, it must be handed in to the organization. It is important that this sheet is filled in correctly, as it will determine ranking position and even the tournament winner. The organization will not be responsible if a match sheet is filled in incorrectly.
A player who arrives at their table 5 minutes after the round has started will automatically lose the kick, and their opponent will choose who starts receiving the ball. If the player arrives more than 10 minutes after the round start, the match will begin with 1 Touchdown against them.
If a player arrives more than 20 minutes after the round start, it will be considered that they have conceded the match.
All matches must end as soon as the organization announces that the round has finished. Matches with a play that could result in a Touchdown must complete it immediately, making only the strictly necessary movements and rolls to achieve it.
Time remaining in the round will be announced at 1 hour, 30 minutes, 10 minutes, 5 minutes, and at round closure.
Match sheets not submitted on time will be considered as a 0-0 draw with 0 casualties for both sides.
WE ARE WORKING ON ADJUSTING THE TOURNAMENT RULES TO THE NEW RULESET. THERE MAY BE CHANGES UNTIL APRIL 20, 2025, WHEN THE RULES WILL BE FINAL.
ALL TIERS MUST ACQUIRE A STAR PLAYER; TIER 5 HAS ACCESS TO ACQUIRE UP TO TWO STAR PLAYERS (clarification on Star Players below).
The sum of the tiers of both coaches forming the team must equal 4.
All tiers must acquire a Star Player after forming their 11-player team.
Tier 5 has the option to acquire up to 2 Star Players unless they acquire a Mega Star Player, which reduces the number of Star Players for Tier 5 by one (e.g. Goblins can acquire FUNGUS THE LOON and RIPPER BOLGROT; but if they choose to sign a MEGA SP they could only acquire MORG 'N THORG).
Acquiring a Mega Star Player (list below) reduces the sum of the team's tiers (of the 2 coaches) by 1 (example: a team is made up of Amazons and Chaos Renegades, Tier 0 and Tier 4, the sum is 4, which is correct; but Amazons acquired a MEGA SP, so their tier sum is reduced by 1, now the tier sum is 3).
All teams must use miniatures that clearly represent the race they are playing, painted with at least three colors; whether using well-known brand teams or heroic fantasy-themed conversions, while avoiding e.g. Alien miniatures representing Slann. All miniatures must clearly differentiate the team's positionals. For example, don't use Dwarfs representing Lizardmen, or if using miniatures glued only to the base, at least make an effort to distinguish the positionals (like GW's Amazons, for example).
Allowed incentives:
All teams may acquire, with their starting gold, the following incentives (provided they are allowed for their race according to the rulebook):
Other than the above, no other incentives are permitted, except as established for Star Players in the following section of this ruleset.
Matches will last 120 minutes. We all know many things can happen that prevent this duration from being respected, so it is up to the players to do their best to finish matches on time so as not to slow down the rest of the tournament.
Whenever one of the coaches wants, the classic rule of 4 minutes per turn can be activated at any point in the match. In case of any doubt, the organization will be happy to scold your opponent.
In case of a concession due to no-show, the opponent's victory will be considered 3-0 with 3 casualties.
The tournament format will be Resurrection and matches will be considered "exhibition" matches for game purposes.
Squad points will be:
Teams:
This is a "Resurrection" tournament; all injuries suffered during matches by our team's players, including death, will disappear at the end of each match. In other words, the team is rebuilt. Still, Apothecaries are useful to recover injured or even unconscious players during the match.
The main objective is to enjoy the game. These events serve to reunite with friends, meet new people, and play against different opponents than those we usually face.
USE OF THE TOURNAMENT DICE IS MANDATORY.
Likewise, the block dice used in the tournament must clearly and unambiguously represent the results of the faces, respecting the official game symbols.
The figure of the referee is not usually necessary, but sometimes there is no choice but to resort to them. They will signal the end of matches and resolve doubts and disputes, their decisions being final.
In case of doubt, the rulebook will be consulted, and if the rules do not cover a certain aspect, and the referees cannot give an answer, the situation will be decided by rolling a die (even or odd) to see who is right.
Matches will last a maximum of 2 hours, with the organization able to grant extra time if deemed appropriate.
Players are expected to be punctual when attending the rounds set by the organization, with the possibility of disqualifying players who do not attend their round or whose lateness harms the smooth running of the tournament.
It is the players' responsibility to remember and control the following situations:
Whenever possible, the game will return to the situation or point where the roll was forgotten or the mistake was made within the same turn; however, if the situation is detected after scoring a Touchdown and players are picked up, the score will be valid for all purposes.
Use of the clock for 4-minute turns will be legal if both players agree or if the referees consider it appropriate for the smooth running of the match and tournament.
No unsporting behavior, cheating, or disrespect will be tolerated. Referees/organization reserve the right to expel any player they consider to be disturbing the good atmosphere of the tournament, barring them from future editions.
All proceeds will go towards prizes, trophies and gifts for participants.
Each participant will receive for participating:
The organization will not organize a joint meal for various logistical reasons.
Since Cocentaina is a small town and food options are limited, we have decided:
a) The "Casa de la Joventut" will remain open so that anyone who wants to buy/order something "to go" from the Chinese Restaurant, Burger King, takeaway food, Mercadona (which don't have tables to eat at) will have a "warm" place to eat calmly. You will also have the tournament drink at popular prices.
b) We will provide a list of shops/bars/restaurants where you can go to eat or buy food to go, such as the Chinese Restaurant, Kebab, Burger King, Mercadona, etc... to make it easier to find options. Several of them will require traveling by car.
We do recommend that you book a table or place a takeaway order in advance and arrange a time. Since if you all go to the same establishment at once, they might not be able to serve everyone.
Cocentaina is not the town of the damned or the end of the world... but it is not a big city, it is small and the services it offers have their peculiarities.

PARTICIPATION IN THE TOURNAMENT IMPLIES ACCEPTANCE OF ALL THE RULES. THE ORGANIZATION RESERVES THE RIGHT TO MODIFY THE RULES IF IT DEEMS APPROPRIATE, NOTIFYING THIS IN THIS THREAD.
