*The Coin*
Registration: $10 per person
Format: Swiss Rounds
Time Control: 2 hours per round (no clock)
Prizes:
1. Star Player Mini for first and second place.
2. Participation Mini.
*Scoring System:*
Win: 10 points
Draw: 7 points
Loss: 3 points
Bonus: Each pair of coins earned grants 1 additional point.
*INCENTIVE*
If you bring a friend who hasn't played in the leagues, both you and they will receive an additional participation miniature.
*What is The Coin?*
The Coin is a token awarded to a player each time one of the following conditions is met. There is no limit to how many coins a player can receive.
1. Your opponent scores a touchdown.
2. Your opponent passes a stalling test (including automatic pass on turns 7 and 8).
3. One of your players suffers an injury that removes them from the game (and is not saved by an apothecary or regeneration).
*What can you do with the Coin?* The Coin serves one of two purposes:
1. You can keep it until the end of the game. Every two coins grants you one point, which is added to your score on the table.
2. *You can spend it on your turn to add +1 to any d6 you rolled.* It is used after applying all modifiers and re-rolls for that roll. It cannot be used for armor or injury rolls. The spent coins return to the supply and do not grant points at the end of the game (you must keep the coins to score points).
Clarifications:
1. The coin toss does not change the face of the die but adds +1 to the result. If the die lands on a natural 1, it is still a miss.
2. only one coin can be used per action
3. Coin use has to be announced before a die roll
*Tournament registration will be used to pay for the NAF membership of each participant who is not a NAF member. The membership includes two NAF brand six-sided dice and a special token.* This will be delivered as soon as possible.
