The Gaelic "Slàinte" translates to "health" and is used mostly by whisk(e)y drinkers instead of "cheers". The date is not coincidental - it's the date of the annual whisk(e)y fair in Nuremberg. After a well-received first edition, the Slàinte Sevens is going into a second round. Again, Saturday is meant as a social event at the whisk(e)y fair THE VILLAGE, while on Sunday a few rounds of Blood Bowl Sevens will be played. By the way, friends of rum will also get their money's worth on Saturday, since the rum fair PUEBLO DEL RON has long been co-located with the whisk(e)y fair. Of course, attending Saturday is not mandatory to play the tournament on Sunday, and everyone is welcome to just join for the Sunday games.
A short disclaimer: I have no other connections to the whisk(e)y fair other than having enjoyed going there for years, and I do not want to motivate anyone to consume alcohol!
More information about the fair: https://www.whiskey-messe.de/
The fair tickets cost 25.00€ in 2026 and must be organized yourself!
The prices for the dram whisky vary a lot, but only the very special drams have correspondingly high prices; for most I probably paid 3-5€.
We can meet together, maybe start with lunch as a base and then head towards the fair. It also doesn't have to end after the fair - we can move the evening to an Irish pub.
The tournament is played according to the BB2025 (Season 3) rules and the Spike 22. The GW FAQ applies, as well as the NAF Recommendations and Clarifications for BB2025 (with the exception of the FAQ interpretation that Sidestep can be used on a Blitz with Grab). The Tier List from 19.08.2026 does not apply; either GW publishes a realistic Tier List, or the organizer will attempt one before the tournament. (All teams including Slann are allowed; new teams released by January 30, 2027 are automatically allowed, after that only if announced here accordingly!)
We play with Skill Points as in the rulebook.

Usage and further adjustments:
The venue is the event room of a company, provided to me free of charge, so self-catering is possible. Alternatively, I will also provide food and drinks at cost price. For lunch there will be a vegetarian dish.
I'm planning 1:15h per game, which should comfortably be enough, plus a small organizational buffer both for me and for you. Anyone who insists on exact time management please bring a chess clock and set it to 38 minutes, otherwise good sportsmanship will hopefully help avoid extra slow play.
The draw for the first round is random; I will try, where possible, not to pair players from the same league against each other. From the second round onward, with at least 8 participants, it will be Swiss system; with fewer participants, Round Robin. The goal is for everyone to have as many different opponents as possible!
Registration is open now. Due to the venue, I have a maximum of 24 spots. If there are more registrations, I will recalculate or consider alternatives. Registration either here in the thread, by PM to me, or by email to Goetz.Dirk@gmx.net. I don't have that many Sevens pitches, so please indicate who can bring one. Please also indicate whether you need NAF membership or renewal, so I can try to get the goodies in time accordingly.
