Welcome to Khorneval IX: The Quest for the Lady's Favor
Welcome to the beautiful Castle Brionne, seat of the Dukedom of Brionne in the gorgeous kingdom of Bretonnia! This temperate coastal area is prime for the epic pageantry of this squad-based tournament.
Event Overview
The festivities will take place over three days, July 24th-26th, 2026.
- Friday, July 24th: Icebreaker event (TBD)
- Saturday & Sunday: 5-round, 3-team, squad tournament
- Saturday: 3 rounds
- Sunday: 2 rounds
Tournament Format
- Round 1: Random pairings for both squad matchups and intersquad matches
- Rounds 2-5: Swiss pairings for squad matchups; Swiss pairings within for individual coaches
- Squad composition: 3 teams per squad, each of a different race
Ruleset
Matched Play rules from the Third Season Rulebook with the following exceptions:
- Only 1 Prayer to Nuffle may be taken
- If you roll a League type (SPP-related), you receive nothing
- No mercenaries
- No wizards
- Star Players are not allowed at this event (due to a historical understanding with the Bretonnians)
Roster Building
- Budget: Every team receives 1,150,000 gold pieces to build their roster; no gold sharing
- Skill packs (by tier from Matched Play section):
- Tier 1: 6 PSP
- Tier 2: 8 SP
- Tier 3: 9 SP
- Tier 4: 10 SP
- Skill costs: Primary skills cost 1 SP; Secondary skills cost 2 SP
- No stacking skills: Each Tier has a limit on the number of Secondary skills they may take
- Squad composition: Each Squad has 9 points to form their Squad
- Tier 1: 4 pts
- Tier 2: 3 pts
- Tier 3: 2 pts
- Tier 4: 1 pt
- A Squad may not roster teams of the same race
Tiering
Tiering used is the current GW Tiers in the Blood Bowl Download section of the GW website. Tiering is subject to change as this is a brand new edition. If GW or The NAF revise Tiering, the new Tiers will be utilized. Cutoff date: June 30th.
Tournament Classification
Voodoo Tournament Series Major - rankings from this tournament receive heavier weighting in determining the overall Voodoo End of Year Standings.

- 9:00 AM - 10:00 AM: Registration and setup
- 10:00 AM - 12:15 PM: Round 1
- 12:15 PM - 1:30 PM: Lunch
- 1:30 PM - 3:45 PM: Round 2

Sunday, July 26th
- 9:00 AM - 9:30 AM: Setup and Group Picture
- 9:30 AM - 11:45 AM: Round 4
- 12:00 PM - 2:15 PM: Round 5
- 2:15 PM: Triple Skulls followed by Awards (should be concluded by 3:00 PM)
