The Risky Rollers Weekender 2026
A weekend of Blood Bowl unlike any other!
Get your mates together and play as a team on Saturday with the Risky Rollers Team Cup, then show them why you’re the best among them on Sunday with the Risky Rollers Winter Cup!
Dates:
Saturday 6th of June: The Risky Rollers Team Cup 2026
Sunday 7th of June: The Risky Rollers Winter Cup 2026
Venue:
Moorabbin Bowling Club
426 South Rd
Moorabbin
Tickets:
Three kinds of ticket exist - Team Tickets (three players for the Team Cup), Individual Tickets (one player for the Winter Cup), and Weekender Tickets (Nuffle’s favoured choice - three players for both the Team Cup and the Winter Cup).
Team Tickets will cost $120 per team, Individual Tickets will cost $40 per player, and Weekender Tickets will cost $225 for all three players.
These are all available from our website: https://www.riskyrollers.com.au/event-details/risky-rollers-weekender-2026-blood-bowl
Refunds for players dropping from the event will be offered up until the week prior, after which we'll have committed to venue and event costs.
Event Placings and Prizes:
First, Second, and Third places will be awarded for both the Team Cup (as teams of course) and the Winter Cup, as will Best Presented and Favourite Opponent(s), and additional “honours” will be up for grabs in each event (e.g. most casualties, most fouls, etc.).
Furthermore, across the whole weekend we’ll be awarding a “Best Squad” (combined placings of the team in the Team Cup and its players in the Winter Cup), “Lone Wolf” (best individual player across the whole weekend, excluding the players on the Best Squad), and the coveted - or at least it will be once we start awarding it - “Weekender Stunty Cup” (does exactly what it says on the tin)!

A Note on Play:
On indicating prone/stunned players, if both players agree prior to a game to use markers instead of laying models down, then they're welcome to, however the default expectation is that players should be placed prone on the pitch to indicate status, as per usual for Blood Bowl (big guys/models which don't lay flat may of course need tokens to replace them, or assist with indicating stunned/prone status).
And on Clocks:
Rounds are set to a specific time, and are planned to run on a schedule to allow everyone attending to have a fair go at their games, and to give everyone time to have a break and eat lunch in between rounds. The default assumption is that every game is played with an even amount of time for each coach to make their decisions - by default this means chess clocks will be in use, unless both players agree to opt out of using one (and we do highly encourage their use, out of respect for the time of the other coaches at the event).
Should a coach’s clock run out, that coach may no longer take any voluntary actions or rolls in game (i.e. may not activate players, may only make decisions to use skills when necessary, and take automatic rolls such as armour).

The Risky Rollers Team Cup - Saturday 6th of June
Format:
The event will be four rounds, with Swiss pairings for teams determined by Tourplay. Rounds will be 2.5 hours long (10 minutes for team pairings and runover, and 1 hour 10 minutes per coach), with 15 and 30 minute breaks for food and bevs.
The weather table in use will be the Winter weather table for the duration of the event.
Roster Submission:
Rosters are to be submitted to Tourplay by 11:59pm on the 3rd of June. They’ll then be made public.
Tourplay: tourplay.net https://tourplay.net/en/blood-bowl/risky-rollers-winter-cup-2026
Rosters are to be constructed according to the Eurobowl 2026 rules (available here, and set up on Tourplay). Teams must select a unique faction for each coach (e.g. if one coach is taking Dwarfs, no other coach on that team may also take Dwarfs).

Team Pairings & Scoring:
Each team will be given 3 tokens, one for each faction on their team - these are the pairing cards you may be familiar with from other team events and represent the corresponding coaches of those teams.
A team will win a round if they have more match wins than their opposing team (e.g. a team could win two of their three matches, or win one and draw the other two, both are a team win).
Once teams have been paired in to one another, each team will follow this process to determine the individual matches to be played:
Step One – The Defender
Both teams simultaneously put forward one token face down, this is their defender. The other two tokens remain in their hand and are also face down (or otherwise obscured from the opponent’s view). Once both teams have selected their defender, both tokens are revealed simultaneously.
Step Two – The Attacker
Both teams simultaneously put forward one token face down in front of the opposing team’s defender, this is their attacker. The final token remains in their hand and is also face down (or otherwise obscured from the opponent’s view). Once both teams have selected their attacker, the attackers are paired off into the defenders
Step Three – The Scrappers
Both teams will now be left with a single token in their hand, these two players are automatically paired and are known as the scrappers.
