Battle City Games Presents "All Hallows' Eve Blood Bowl 2026"

It's that spooky time of year again in the Blood Bowl World, and Bruce the magic sprout has organised a special Halloween celebration with the help of Battle City Games. Fancy dress is optional but also encouraged.

Team Building and Skills

It's all change at the Halloween Blood Bowl this year, with the games being streamlined in order to get 4 matches in. So it will be a resurrection tournament, and players can build a team with a budget of 1150 gold. Teams must be fully painted and based.

Tier 1 (1100k) - Amazons, Dark Elves, High Elves, Lizards, Necromantic Horror, Norse, Orcs, OWA, Shambling Undead, Underworld Denizens, Wood Elves

• 6 skill points (of which 3 can be elite)
• 0 players may have stacked skills
• 1 Star Player
• 1 skill point for +20gp (Max 20)

Tier 2 (1130k) - Dwarves, Imperial Nobility, Human, Nurgle, Skaven, Vampires, Tomb Kings

• 7 skill points, max 7 primary, 2 secondary (of which 4 can be elite)
• 1 player may have stacked primary skills or single stat
• 1 Star Player
• 1 skill point for +20gp (Max 20)
• 1 stat of AV or MV for 2sp

Tier 3 (1130k) - Black Orcs, Bretonnians, Chaos Chosen, Chaos Renegades, Chaos Dwarves, Elven Union, Khorne

• 8 skill points, max 8 primary, 3 secondary (of which 4 can be elite)
• 1 player may have stacked primary skills or single stat
• 1 Star Player
• 1 skill point for +20gp (Max 40)
• 1 stat of AV or MV for 2sp

Tier 4 (1100k) - Snotlings*, Goblins*, Gnomes*, Ogres*, Halflings*

• 10 skill points, max 10 primary, 3 secondary (of which 4 can be elite)
• 1 player may have stacked primary skills or single MV/AV stat
• 2 Star Players
• 1 skill point for +20gp (Max 40)
• 1 stat increase of ST, PA or AG for 3sp (no stacking), or 1 stat of MV or AV for 2sp

Secondary skills may be swapped for a primary.

*Can only be taken on stunty teams.

Teams must have 11 players before selecting any Star Players, unless one of those players is Bruce the Sprout, Triffid Sprout or Frank 'n' Bruce.

In theme with the Halloween tournament, there are 3 special stars:

Frank 'n' Bruce 220k (Frank 'n' Stein's skills, Primary - GS, Secondary - A)*

• MA 4 ST 5 AG 4+ PA 6+ AV 10+
• Skills: Brawler, Break Tackle, Loner (4+), Mighty Blow (+1), Regeneration, Stand Firm, Thick Skull
• Special Skill: Brutal Block

Bruce the Sprout*

• M 6 S 3 AG 3+ PA - AV 8+
• Skills: Horns, Jump Up, Leap, Loner (3+), Monstrous Mouth
• Special Skill: Bounding Leap
• Plays for any team 110K plus 1 skill point

Bruce the Triffid Sprout*

• M 4 S 4 AG 3+ PA 4+ AV 9+
• Skills: Tentacles, Prehensile Tail, Extra Arms, Horns, Monstrous Mouth, Sprint, Take Root, Loner (4+)
• Special Rule: Probing Roots - If they take root they may still move half their MV characteristic as part of their activation, but may not rush
• Plays for any team 180K plus 1 skill point

*Can be taken as part of your initial 11 team members. This is not in addition to Star Players, but as part of the total, so you could have 1 special star and 1 Star Player.

Sylvanian Spotlight Bonus

All Sylvanian Spotlight teams that play during this special Halloween event receive a Halloween Shandy Keg for free as per the standard inducement rules (Bloodweiser Keg). This extra inducement is only included if you bring an appropriate model. This could be a mini, a skull cup, or something of a similar theme.

All common inducements from the 2025 rulebook are allowed, except Prayers to Nuffle, which is only available as detailed below. No other additional cards or inducements from GW publications are being used.

Schedule

4 games of Blood Bowl action. 2 hours 10 minutes per game. Slow coaches will be put on a clock if required. The Android App 'BB Coach Assistant' has a suitable clock.

• 0945 to 1155 - Game 1
• 1155 to 1230 - Lunch
• 1230 to 1440 - Game 2
• 1440 to 1650 - Game 3
• 1650 to 1900 - Game 4
• 1900 - Trophies

Scoring

• 20 points for a win
• 10 points for a draw
• 2 points for a perfect defence (no Touchdowns conceded)
• 1 point for each Touchdown and CAS scored (up to 3 max)
• Maximum score of 28 points per round

Players cannot win more than one prize marked with a *.

There will be a number of prizes available on the day for those that get awards, along with in-game event prizes. Everyone will receive a participation prize as long as they signed up 1 month before the event start date.
