Time Rules
Staying within match time limits is important.
Each round lasts 2h 30min — longer than at most tournaments — so time should not be an issue.
There’s at least a 15-minute break between rounds. You’re not allowed to play into this time; results must be submitted, and players moved to the next table. Same rules for everyone.
If one coach wants to use a clock, the other must agree. We recommend a chess clock set to 1h 15min per player.
You set up offense/defense and reset your players on your own time. Toilet breaks? Let your own clock tick.
If your time runs out, you may only stand up prone players and end your turn.
When round time ends, matches are stopped automatically.
Conduct Rules
Alcohol is not allowed at the venue. The tournament will therefore end earlier on Saturday (around 18:15), giving the option for a night out in Skellefteå afterwards.
Everyone shares the responsibility of making the tournament fun and friendly. We play for enjoyment and should be forgiving of mistakes. As long as no dice have been rolled, you may take back your last move — as long as you clearly remember where the player stood.
