Portals, Traps & Chests (PTC) is a Dungeon Bowl tournament using the three-ball format pioneered by the Bonehead Podcast. PTC will consist of three 1.75 hour rounds and will be held at W.O.W. (717 SE Main Portland, OR). PTC is a CULT sanctioned minor tournament, with a $15 entry per coach, with proceeds going to awards and Ordo Fanaticus. All released teams from the Dungeon Bowl rulebook, and their Spike Magazine updates, are available for selection.
Three Ball Format
After feedback from our previous Dungeon Bowl events, this year we will be using the Three Ball Format. At PTC there are six treasure chests; three of these will hold a ball instead of the regular one. We will be using our Dungeon Bowl Ball Tokens for the event so it’s nice and straight forward. Coaches will be paired randomly for the first match, with matches two and three being paired in the Monrad swiss format.
Scoring a Touchdown: if a player scores a Touchdown; the ball and player are removed from the game. That player is placed into the Reserve box, and the ball is removed from the pitch.
This ends that player’s activation, but does not end your turn.
After a touchdown, a coach may teleport the scoring player back in from reserves if they haven’t used the teleporter/magic sponge yet that turn.
The game will end at the end of the round (1.75 hours) or if three touchdowns are scored.

PTC teams may only be built with College of Magic teams from the Dungeon Bowl rulebook.
