Tournament Rules
Each coach has a team budget of 1,195,000-1,200,000 gold pieces, which must be fully spent. Each team consists of a minimum of 11 players, 0-8 re-rolls, 0-1 apothecaries. 0-12 cheerleaders, 0-6 assistant coaches and 0-6 dedicated fans may also be purchased from this budget.
It will be played according to the current rules of the Blood Bowl Second Season 2020 and all teams until Spike! Journal 17 (Gnomes), Chaos Dwarves, High Elves, Tomb Kings and Slann Teams are also allowed. The Designer Notes (FAQ & Errata) from November 2024 must be taken into account.
The following items from the inducement list may be purchased as permanent purchases at the regular prices, taking into account the Team Special Rules:
0-1 Weather Mage
0-2 Bloodwiser Kegs
0-3 Bribes
0-1 Mortuary Assistant
0-1 Plague Doctor
0-1 Riotous Rookies
0-2 Wandernde Apotheker
0-1 Halfling Master-Chef
0-1 Josef Bugman or Vick Tojurub (all teams) for 100,000gp
0-1 Standard Biased Referee
0-1 Starplayer (only for Tier 3 teams, Starplayer pairs count as 1 Starplayer, but take up two roster slots)
Vick Tojurub is a famous Halfling Assistant Coach, who serves delicious Burger to his players during the game to strengthen their spirits. Since he can easily persuaded to enter the pitch for one half (against the advice of his medical advisor), a head coach can get more out of him during a game. The Head coach may decide during which half he wants Vick to play. At the beginning of the half in which he does not play he prepares Burgers for his teammates and the smell of the special sauce irritates the opposing team and similar to a Master Chef the Head coach of his team may roll to steal up to 2 Re-Rolls of the opposing team on a 5+ prior to the kick-off of the half. If Vick is on the pitch he hast the following profile.
Vick Tojurub MA5 ST2 AG4+ PA2+ AV8+ Loner(5+), Block, Dauntless, Disturbing Presence, Nerves of Steel, Stand Firm
Wizards, Playing Cards and Freebooter are explicitly not allowed.
A maximum of 1 star player, or 1 star player pair (= 2 star players) is allowed for Tier 3 teams, but there must be at least 11 regular players already in the roster. If both teams have the same star player in a match, he does not play with any team (Highlander rule!). It's only the official star players who appear in the GW BB2020 rules, the 2020-2022 almanacs, and the Spike! Journals up to No.17) (Golden Era Stars and NAF Legacy Starplayer not allowed). For each star player, the opponent receives 2 additional free re-rolls per half that cannot be stolen by a Master Chef, as well as an additional free apothecary/Plague Doctor/Mortuary Assistant. In addition, the training budget will be reduced by 15 SPP.
Before the start of the tournament, a captain will be appointed in each team, who will be selected from the players whose number of players is 0-12 or 0-16 (lineman). This player will receive a Skill from the General category, as well as the Adaptive Skill. This Adaptive Skill can be selected from the player's primary categories before each game, after the opponent is known. The captain does not receive any other skills.
In addition to the two skills of the captain, other skills can be assigned. For this purpose, an additional training SPP budget is available for each breed category. Skills may be awarded from this budget, whereby skills may be selected from primary and secondary categories. Several skills may also be assigned to one player, taking into account the rising costs. Random skills are also allowed, but they must be rolled with the dice of the tournament organizer during the on-site registration under the supervision of the tournament organizer and at least one other trainer. The English-language rulebook is used as a reference. The randomly determined skills MUST be retained for the entire tournament. Star players are not allowed to receive an additional skill.
Training Budget:
Tier 1: 30 SPP
Tier 2: 36 SPP
Tier 3: 45 SPP (30 SPP if a star player is listed on the roster)
In the pre-match sequence, steps 3-5 are omitted.
There is no Post Game Sequence. Dead and injured are automatically healed after the game.
If a team has the opportunity to get an additional Zombie or Rotter Lineman in the course of a game, these may only be used during the ongoing game, but are not available for all further games.
After 1 hour of play, there is a notice that it is rigorously stopped after 2¼ hours of play (even in the middle of the turn). It is recommended to bring a chess clock via mobile phone app and to control your own playing time
You need to bring an extra Ogre miniature for round 2 and an assistant coach miniature for round 5.

Round events
1st round: Cow Stampede
As soon as a result of a weather roll is something other than "Nice", then the weather is automatically "Nice" (because there is no other weather in Lindenberg) and a D8 is rolled for each player. The player slips one space in that direction due to a nearby cow stampede. If the field is occupied by another player, nothing happens and the player stops. If a player slips off the field as a result, he is placed in the reserve box. The dice are rolled alternately, starting with a player from the kicking coach.
2nd round: Over-motivated Ogre-Fans
The ogres in the audience are somewhat frustrated with the performance of some teams and want to show the players how it s done right. Two ogres run onto the pitch when the rolled kick-off result is either 6-Cheering Fans or 7-Brilliant Coaching (the kick-off event will be handled as usual). Each ogre will be placed in any square of the own endzone and each will be part of each team until the next kick-off. Afterwards the ogres will leave the pitch satisfied and will be celebrated by the other fans. The Ogres have the same stats as an Ogre on a Human team
Ogre MA5 ST5 AG4+ PA5+ AV810+ Mighty Blow (+1), Thick Skull, Bone Head, Throw Team-mate, Loner (4+)
3rd round: Oh Nuffle
At the beginning of each half, both coaches roll on the Prayers to Nuffle Table (D8) and pray for help to Nuffle.
4th round: What a brat
The tournament day is close to its end and therefore everybody all forces will be mobilized one more time. The Halfling Chef is throwing a couple of brats on the grill to motivate the players. Every coach may roll a D6 if they use a Re-Roll, on a 5+ the Re-Roll may be used once more (but not before the next turn). This is possible twice during a game.
5th round: Mad assistant coaches
The assistant coaches are furious due to the performance the players have delivered so far and are eager to give instructions to them directly on the pitch. As soon as "Brilliant Coaching" comes as a kick-off result, they run onto the pitch. The coaches are placed in the center of their own half. If this space is already occupied by a player, a D8 is rolled until a free square is found for the coaches. When a touchdown has been scored or half time is reached, the coach leaves the field again. The assistant coaches is a human linemen with two skills, a niggling injury and a random injury determined with a D8 (1-3=MA5, 4-5=AV7+, 6=AG3+, 7=PA5+ 8=ST2).
Assistant Coach MA6* ST3* AG3+* PA4+* AV9+* Guard, Frenzy, Niggling Injury + Random Injury
6th round: I wjust wanna go home
Some of the players are just worn out, frustrated or just want to get their 1st Prize Award. The last energy bits are drawn from their bodies, even though it might be a bit risky and dangerous. All players may rush an additional square, but they need a 3+ dice roll (Drunkards need a 4+) in order to suceed. If they fail this roll, the opposing coach may add +1 to the Armour roll
