GENERAL RULES
- The Illegal procedure rule (forgetting to draw the turn marker) is suspended.
- Trainers of undead and necromancer teams may use .
- Casulties only count statistically as casulties if they are the result of a block.
- Kills, fouls, passes and GFIs are recorded as secondary statistics.
- There is no overtime, the games end after turn 16 or by cancellation by a referee.
- No injuries are carried over to the next round and there are no skill changes.
- In the event that a coach brings more players onto the pitch than is actually permitted, he loses the difference in the number of players he is allowed to have plus one additional player. These players are determined at random. If the coach to be penalised had the turn, he automatically suffers a turn loss. The players may not be brought back onto the pitch until the end of this drive.
TIME MANAGEMENT
There are 150 minutes available per game, which means 75 minutes per coach. Each coach must endeavour to keep to this time limit (approx. 4 minutes per move). A chess clock may be used at the request of a coach.
TEAM BUILDING
The current team lists from the Blood Bowl Box 2020 apply, as well as the team lists published in the SPIKE up to and including #17 and the list proposed by the NAF for Slann. (Almost) all star players of the 2020 basic rules and those published in the SPIKE (up to and including SPIKE #17) are available. Exceptions see team creation. Each coach receives 1,150,000 GC for team creation. The team must consist of at least 11 players (including star players) and a maximum of 16 players (including star players). The restriction that at least 11 players must have been purchased before a star player can be hired does not apply. The 11th player may be a star player. Gold from team development (different for each rank - see team development) may be used to create a team, but at least 60K must remain for the 2nd match day for team development.
The following are also permitted:
- 0-8 team re-rolls
- 0-6 assistant coaches 10K each
- 0-12 Cheerleaders 10K each
- 0-1 Paramedics 50k
- 0-9 Loyal fans (fan factor) 10k each
Authorised inducements
- 0-1 Master Chef 300K, for teams with the special rule "Halfling Thimble Cup" 100K
- 0-2 Bloodweiser barrels 50K each
- 0-3 Bribes 100K each, for teams with special rule "Corruption and Bribery" 50K each
- 0-2 Travelling medics (only teams allowed to have medics) 100K each
- 0-1 Funeral Assistant (Sylvanian spotlight) 100K
- 0-1 Plague Doctor (Chosen of Nurgle) 100K
- 0-1 roitess rookies 100K
- 0-2 Notorious members of the coaching staff (costs vary)
- 0-2 Star players (see team creation)
Team creation
The teams are divided into 1-5 ranks. Each rank has a different amount of gold available for team development. The gold is to be allocated in stages per tournament day. At least 60K gold must be reserved for the 2nd day of the tournament. The cost of a primary talent is 20K gold, a secondary talent costs 30K gold.
In each team, a maximum of one player (two players in rank 5) may receive two primary talents (stacking). In this case, the costs for one primary and one secondary talent must be invested for the player. All talents are selected when the team is created. Stacking can also only be awarded for the 2nd day of the tournament.
Rank 1 and 2 teams are required to hire a star player. This is optional for ranks 3 and 4. However, they may only hire a maximum of one star player. Only rank 5 may hire 2 star players.
Our RACCOONs are known for being somewhat chaotic in terms of their organisation and internal team arrangements. For this reason, the management of some star players have declined to allow their protégés to take part.
The following star players are not available for the RACCOON-CUP:
- Griff Oberwald, Morg'N'Thorg, Akhorn the Squirrel
After intensive negotiations and only with the promise of further donations were the RACCOONs able to avert the absence of some stars.
In addition to the cost of hiring the following star players, 40K of the gold used for Team development must be spent. Please note that this does not affect the costs (60K) for the 2nd day of the tournament.
- Deeproot Strongbranch, Hakflem Skuttlespike, Kreek Rustgouger, Bomber Dribblesnot, Cindy Piewhistle
If a team does not have enough gold left over from team development to pay these star player costs, the star player cannot be hired. Each star player can only be in the team squad once. Star players may be purchased as the 11th player in the team squad. If teams with the same star players face each other during the tournament, both teams may play this star player. Star player tags (Swift Twins, Crack and Crumbleberry, ...) occupy 2 places on the team sheet, but only count as one star player for the purposes of recruitment.
